Over the years, my varied professional history and experience has afforded me an eclectic toolbox of skills. My education in both my hometown of New Orleans and my longtime adoptive home of New York, which combined fine art photography and communications with a focus on editorial writing, substantialized two of my lifelong passions, and affirmed the importance of the creative in everything I do.Meanwhile, as a customer service/restaurant industry veteran, I’ve internalized an invaluable sense of organization, communication, and how to work efficiently and purposefully under pressure, while collaborating harmoniously with a team, problem-solving with an appropriate sense of urgency, and maintaining a warm bedside manner. At times, my work has even brought these two sides of my work provenance directly together (for instance, social media marketing and content creation for restaurants). In recent years, perhaps the most interesting and unexpected arena in which I’ve shapeshifted and adapted my strengths was a very rewarding two-year stint in elementary education administration and programming.Consequently, I’ve cultivated a strong balance in my day-to-day of “left brain” and “right brain” tasks, of “type A” and “type B” habits, lending a creative way of thinking to practical matters. The ability to code-switch in this way, depending on the circumstance or task at hand, has proven dynamic and versatile across all fields in which I’ve worked. Whether managing projects, creating and curating arts or recreational programming, bartending, writing marketing copy, or acting as liaison with other spheres of the community, the sum of those parts is constantly shapeshifting and adapting to the circumstance at hand. While I still currently (mostly) reside in New Orleans, I am preparing for a move to Los Angeles imminently, with a flexible timeline mainly contingent upon when employment opportunities present themselves. I do travel to L.A. often, however, and am prepared to make trips as appropriate, as I prepare for the next exciting chapter!
