I have been a registered nurse with a bachelors degree since 2007. I have amassed a wide variety of nursing and practical skills during my years of practice. I have found the skills that always translate from job to job is communication and interpersonal skills. I am able to work independently, but also thrive in a team based environment. I have typically excelled in learning new skills and adapting to changing environments. My extensive work background has given me a strong understanding of clinical workflow and how EHR's and Health Information Technology can influence the workflow and delivery of care. I have used Cerner and Epic systems, I am very acquainted with charting in electronic health records, and also am familiar with computerized physician order entry. I would like to apply this working knowledge to obtain a position in health information technology.
