As an intern for two positions my time was evenly divided among the roles performing tasks to ensure both departments ran efficiently. Tasks I assisted on included •Assisted client groups with weekly performance management system tools to ensure complete and timely delivery.•Processed vendor invoices and maintained an up-to-date system.•Opened and assigned new vendor accounts.•Managed firms billing and invoice processing.•Assisted departments to retrieve, print, copy, and file departmental paperwork and pertinent reports.•Distributed proper documents to personnel in a timely fashion according to current federal, state, and company policies and procedures.

As the firm’s policy advisor I handle various government relation issues and track pending legislation to give insightful advice on current issues. As a legal assistant I work with clients to navigate the court systems under the guidance of my boss

My position as an AppleCare At-Home Advisor required that I resolve customer issues by courteously probing, investigating, and troubleshooting their issues and then clearly communicating what the problem is and presenting possible solutions to the customer and working through each solution until we found the most appropriate solution. Additionally, I worked under limited to no supervision and managed call flow to accept around 30 to 50 calls per four-hour shift. I used prior knowledge and applicable training provided by Apple experts to remain knowledgeable about the products and services we provided. I also provided remote installations and device testing using various services provided by Apple on OS X, Windows, iOS and Watch OS.

As a legislative intern for Senator John Thune I researched a variety of policy issues to disseminate that information to other staff members, committee staffers, and stakeholders. My main areas of interest and research include finance and banking, health and pensions, defense, education, telecommunications, and judiciary issues. My projects of interest included tracking Senate Bill 2123, the Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act, of the 114th Congress. My analysis of this bill was to assist our legislative aide in forming a strategic course of action on whether or not the Senator would sign onto the bill, should it arise in the next Congress. To receive the most informed conclusion regarding the merits of the bill, I met with various constituents and other stakeholders to receive feedback and exchange ideas. In conducting research for my assignments, I utilized Microsoft Office, specifically Excel to perform calculations, and PowerPoint to create presentations to easily present the information found. I additionally provided tours of the Capitol Complex, performed database maintenance using our database, Capitol Correspondence, and other clerical tasks as necessary.

As a Camp War Eagle counselor, I spent my spring semester in an intensive personal development training program. Upon the completion of this training I was able to lead freshmen in a college orientation program. I had the opportunity to lead group activities, as well as present information regarding Auburn University and the individual college experience as a whole, as well as assist in scheduling and build meaningful relationships with my campers and their families. This role required I learn to adapt to different personalities within a group and learn to diffuse situations. My role as a camp counselor also required an abundance of community relation building, as I participated in numerous community service projects, including a few that cleaned homes for a local church service in a underserved area, as well as reached out to local businesses to raise money for a memorial scholarship raised by the Office of First Year Experience.
