Team won second place; however this idea was put into production. “Look Ma, No Hands” - Used Google Voice Recognition to allow a customer to navigate through the Android Mobile Order & Pay Application. Allowed a customer to order a previous order at a previous store, add a tip, and get driving directions to the store without having to touch their phone. Team won first place. “The Flash” - NFC enabling the Mobile Order and Pay App to allow a customer to tap their phone at an in store kiosk to send their usual order to the baristas. Team won best in show.Wrote a AR prototype using ARCore that displayed stars on a android phone, the thought was a Starbucks customer could collect stars through this app.Built an application for the Android Things board I got from Google I/O. The application would display the weather and sunset, helping me plan my bike commute home. The application's background would display any photos uploaded on to the device. -

Built the cloud storage framework for encrypting, saving, retrieving and decrypting backup files to Dropbox, Google Drive or VDisk. Developed protocol and framework for delivering notifications to the HTC Vive over bluetooth. The framework allows a user to respond notifications.Implemented continuous integration using Jenkins, Gradle and Git. Builds verified with unit tests using JUnit and Mockito. Served as lead developer on HTC Backup and HTC Match, running daily standups, assigning tasks and enforcing code reviews. Used Eclipse and Ant or Android Studio and Gradle to build applications. Worked as the Build Engineer, because someone had to.Built a presence detection system using a beagle board and BLE that I programmed to detect my office workers’ phones and Fitbits when they came into the office. Not paranoid, but it was fun to build.Wrote a game for Google cardboard using Unity.Using Raspberry Pi’s and USB web cameras, I created an overly complicated camera system for my house. One of the Pis was set-up outside my home network’s DMZ and allowed me to control all cameras through an Android App I created. -
