Mr. David Smriga founded AuDNet, Inc. in 2002 as a group purchasing organization focused on leveling the cost playing field for independent audiology practices. After fifteen years, and dramatic changes in the hearing care industry, Mr. Smriga and his colleagues realized that in order to be of greater value to the independent practices they serve who now must compete with corporate and consumer electronics retail models, it was necessary to significantly increase the group's buying power. So, in 2018, AuDNet, Inc. merged with Marcon Hearing Group, to form AUDNET Hearing Group. This larger provider network has resulted in better buying power and greater business support efficiencies than was previously possible. When competing with corporations or direct-to-consumer models, this merger represents an important cost and services value improvement for the group's membership.Prior to AuDNet, Mr. Smriga compiled 30 years of executive management experience in the hearing health care manufacturing sector, and served as vice president for some of the hearing-instrument industry's top companies. This experience has given him the broad perspective necessary to evaluate, promote, and guide the future of independent professional hearing care providers. Since 2002, Mr. Smriga has also been the Senior Audiology Consultant for Audioscan, a top manufacturer of real-ear measurement and hearing aid verification equipment. He conducts lectures across the United States on the use of Audioscan technology and how it fits into best-practice patient care.
