Lead development of creative marketing collateral including graphics, print, and video.

Responsibilities to manage day-to-day operation of this busy community studio, including firing of studio member work, materials tracking, studio equipment maintenance, curriculum planning for adult and child classes, and working closely with Studio Director to schedule classes and place materials/retail orders.Outside of managing the studio and teaching classes, I developed a body of ceramic sculpture.

Responsibilities included working with other residents to maintain and develop Cub Creek facilities, including building a wood fire kiln. The focus of this residency was to develop a body of work.Artist Statement: "The forces that drive life fascinate me. Evidence of determination to survive is found in nature and the achievements of human beings. All forms of life adapt and emanate from the forces that dominate Earth. The fragility of life is juxtaposed against the vigor that makes its continuation possible, and is apparent in all growth. There is beauty in such tenuous strength; things that might break but won’t for their resolve to thrive. It is a quality that I strive for in my personality and physicality, as well as in my work.I try to look at the world and my environment as an explorer, attempting to maintain the curiosity which is necessary for creativity. I concentrate on creating forms that expand from a single point – a pattern of growth evident on every scale – from crystal formation to the growth of populations to the spread of ideas. I am curious about the similarity between so many growth patterns, and its endless examples of occurrence in organic and non-organic media. Such growth is beautiful, and I seek to create forms which are dynamic and capture this beauty by drawing from my observations — to create a sense of direction and presence, and explore contrasts in texture, color, substance and emptiness, line quality and shadow."
