I direct daily operations of the Division to ensure a transparent, impartial, and accurate election system in one of the largest election operations in the U.S., with approximately 1.5 million registered voters in 2,069 precincts. My daily world includes managing 80+ staff to reach recruitment and training goals of 14K seasonal poll workers and 2K volunteer deputy registrars in Chicago. Career Highlights:- Getting to propose and lead the development of a new online recruiting, application, training, LMS, scheduling, and communication system for poll workers (the backbone of the voting process in America) and the elected officials who appoint them, resulting in an efficient way to equip tech-savvy election workers. - Successfully transitioning the voter check-in process from completely paper-based to electronic-based (yes! embrace tech!)- Reducing the cost of running multiple training locations by 68% by combining them into one higher capacity building. - Safeguarding Section 203 of the Voting Rights Act to ensure Spanish, Chinese and Hindi-speakers have access to bilingual ballots and language assistance on Election Day and work with the Department of Justice regarding compliance, including new outreach program for Hindi speakers when language was added by Dept. of Justice.- Overseeing the full implementation of additional languages including Polish, Korean, Tagalog, and partial implementation of Urdu, Gujarati, and Arabic. - Taking the lead on engaging young people in administration of elections, training and deploying 4K high school and college students to serve as Judges of Election and Polling Place Administrators. - Planning and executing the Association of Election Commission Officials of Illinois (AECOI) 2017 Spring Conference as well as serve as 2nd Vice President to the Association.

Apprenticed at one of the world's great living museums and conservation science centers to gain experience as small-scale urban farmer.

The mission of the Board of Election Commissioners for the City of Chicago is to administer a transparent, impartial and accurate election system.In this role, I honed extensive operational strategy and planning skills by developing and managing the Polling Place Administrator (PPA) Program, hiring over 2K tech-savvy workers to troubleshoot electronic voting equipment on Election Day. I supervised recruitment for the program, reaching out to possible applicants through social media, school administrators, professors and student leaders across Chicago, resulting in over 3,700 applicants in a four-week period. (NBD)I also directed the Program Assistants in recruitment, online marketing, data management, payroll processing, and customer service leading to reduced program costs and high election engagement.

People For the American Way (PFAW) works to build a society that implements the ideals of freedom, equality, opportunity and justice for all.I was hired to manage daily operations of PFAW’s Midwest office including supervising and training 800+ volunteers and interns, budget accountability and management, purchasing and maintaining office equipment and supplies, coordinating mailings to members and supporters, and answering email and phone inquiries. I also got to develop, launch, and maintain a new website to engage PFAW members in volunteer and action opportunities. Which includes successfully planning and executing the welcome event for 2017 YearlyKos (now Netroots Nation), with 300+ key influencers, elected officials and political candidates (like Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and more!), creating inspiration and solidarity for the movement.

The Fund for the Public Interest is a 501 non-profit organization that runs campaigns for America’s leading environmental and public interest organizations (The Human Rights Campaign, Illinois Public Interest Research Group (PIRG), and U.S. PIRG. The Fund is the largest fundraiser for progressive causes in the United States.I was brought on to recruit, train, and manage 15 staff members in effective fundraising, leadership, and campaign development.I also ran and coordinated successful press conferences and news releases to ensure people’s voices were heard and to build engagement for society’s largest problems.
