I was one of the 50 selected candidates out of 600 applicants to work at an entry-level position for ResortQuest Vacation Rentals in Northwest Florida. I contributed to many departments in the resort such as housekeeping, front desk, fitness center desk, and tram driver. I broadened my experience in guest services and communication within a team and to many teams throughout the property. This internship provided Wyndham Destination's training program, where I gained the "Count on Me!" service training.

I was able to have my first taste of hospitality here in this fantastic hotel. I learned so much by rotating between the housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, and sales departments. In this position, I was able to develop communication skills, organizational skills, client relationship skills, and teamwork while also learning how to work hard in housekeeping. Working closely with the Director of Sales, I was able to be a point of contact for many clients needing meeting room space as well as work with a team to communicate needs thoroughly. With the Assistant General Manager, I had the opportunity to work on special tasks such as organizing interviews and organizing the end-of-the-year holiday party.
