With over 10 years of experience in senior living communities, I am passionate about enhancing the quality of life and well-being of older adults. As the Activities Director at Mountain Vista Senior Living Community, I oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of engaging and meaningful activities for residents, especially those with dementia and cognitive impairments. I also coordinate the staffing and training of the activities team, ensuring that they are well-equipped and supported to deliver excellent care and service. Some of the skills that I use and develop in my role are activity coordination, dementia care, staffing coordination, communication, and leadership. I am proud to be part of a team that is committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for our residents, families, and staff. I am always eager to learn new ways to improve our programs and practices, and to collaborate with other professionals and organizations in the field of senior living.
