About Audra R.

Audra R. is a Pre-AP Algebra Teacher at KIPP Public Schools Northern California. She possess expertise in public speaking, creative writing, microsoft office, facebook, leadership and 36 more skills. Colleagues describe her as "I have worked with Audra for the past year at Rocketship Brilliant Minds. Although we teach different grade levels, we’ve often collaborated and exchanged ideas about delivering content effectively as well as bettering our teaching practice. We have also coordinated many events together such as field trips and have been members of the School Site Council. Audra is a tenacious and conscientious worker who goes above and beyond for her students. She is always working on bettering her practice - whether it is on a Saturday, Sunday, or even both weekend days. She has showed incredible dedication and tenacity for her craft, relentlessly striving for constant improvement and internalizing all of the necessary feedback from her coach in order to be an upstanding educator. Audra has the utmost capacity to become a highly effective educator with diverse students in high need schools. She has experience as a teacher prior to Rocketship in both middle school and specialized in math tutoring, so I believe her effectiveness will only get higher from here. She demonstrates leadership abilities that I have witness this past year, such as holding extra tutoring sessions for her students after school hours on her personal time, planning trips and grade level activities to increase parent engagement and boost student morale. She will always give up her personal time to ensure that her students grasp and master whatever concept that she is teaching. I highly recommend Audra to any company or corporation that is in need of a tenacious, passionate, and dedicated individual.", "From working closely in a team with Audra at Tiber Creek Corporation, I can attest to her unique work ethic and strong drive. Audra always managed to consistently deliver exceptional work, including sophisticated company presentations and spreadsheets of client databases. Additionally, Audra’s superior communication skills helped build relationships with new clients and foster a friendly environment in the office. Undoubtedly, Audra would easily integrate in any corporate office because of her fast-learning abilities and passion for the financial sector.", and "Any organization seeking a first-rate problem solver should talk to Audra. Both as an academic (I was her college instructor in an argumentation class and a reader for her senior thesis) and a technology manager (I worked in engineering and engineering management for HP for over twenty years), I look for the individual's ability to "connect the dots." In business, this is a byproduct of "management by objective." In the academy, it's a by-product of the student seeing correlations not specifically taught, but usually implied, by the instructor or, more frequently, by the material. Audra intuitively understands how to get the pieces to fit together when it isn’t obvious what the pieces even are. She demonstrated this ability both in the argumentation class, where she found unusual and striking connections between implicit and explicit logical elements (unstated premises, false assumptions) and the lack thereof (logical fallacies, inadequate extrapolation, inadequate or simplistic analogies). She demonstrated the same capacity for analytical and synthetic thought while writing her senior thesis. When secondary sources and research on her topic proved insufficient, she readily and successfully created her own research instruments and developed the data necessary to analyze her topic as carefully and thoroughly as time allowed. This trait speaks to Audra’s ability to formulate methods for understanding and resolving unstructured problems. It’s no surprise, then, that Audra excels in analytical and evaluative work in industry, especially when it involves numbers. In my experience, her mathematical ability is an expression of a deeper awareness of patterns and the judgment to make sense of them. That’s why she found argumentation intuitive and ready to hand—it reflected her innate sense of logic, pattern, reasoning, analysis, and synthesis. Audra is also easy to work with on a personal level. She listens carefully and is thoughtful about what she hears. She can also work well from objective, rather than requiring constant direction. We met every other week as she worked on her senior thesis and she was more a partner than a student in assessing her progress and thinking about next steps. I can see Audra continuing to develop as an analyst, planner, and manager. Her experience teaching grade school mathematics certainly demonstrates her poise and her ability to work with people. If you’re looking for a real problem solver, look no further. Talk to Audra."
