High-performing Senior Manager recruited and charged with leading a team of experienced engineers and operators in support of 17 worldwide open pit mines. Concurrently accountable for budget submissions, optimizing cost saving strategies and active participation in the research and implementation of far reaching new technology.- Cohesively work with sites on design optimization utilizing scheduling packages, as well as completing operational audits to capture future opportunities, planning and executing site improvements, conducting follow-up on key items and training and tracking of success.- Working with regional teams on incorporating strategic planning into the business cycle for open pit mines by putting into place guidelines, reviewing strategic software, and setting up reviews.- Worked with team to change the planning cycle to improve accuracy and minimize man-hours from a corporate, regional and site perspective. Help setup site, regional and corporate planning and budgeting systems.

As Engineering Manager, challenged with overseeing 130+ person team of engineers at a 200Mtpy mine in Peru with responsibility for $40M in CAPEX and an operating budget of $8M. Scopes of responsibilities included mine design optimization, short and long term planning and scheduling, block modeling, ore control, reconciliation, geotechnical analysis, hydrology, civil, drill and blast and other related tasks. Supported in-country projects and other mines within South America. In addition to the Engineering Manager responsibilities, selected to manage the Stage II study for a $330M sulfide mill with full autonomy to execute a $7.9M budget.
