TLDR: I'm a career switcher: former executive admin, bookkeeper, humanitarian aid/non-profit leadership, and most recently, a Software QA Lead, looking for a Software Developer or Frontend Developer role. I bring pioneered, organized systems, creative problem solving, clear communication, genuine connection, and joy into the workplace.Before COVID changed everything, I spent about 7 years traveling the globe and working alongside non-profits and humanitarian aid programs, while attempting to learn as many languages and cultural traditions as I could. Now I'm driven by a desire to learn programming languages and technologies in hopes of bettering the world and being a contributing member of the rapidly expanding and exciting technology age. I'm working on gaining proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, and Node.js. Currently a student at Parsity's software engineering bootcamp. For the next steps in my career, I'm looking for a Frontend or Fullstack Developer position where I can utilize the skills and technology I've learned, along with learning anything and everything I can to suit business needs and my own career growth. Would love to work for a company that has a vision and mission to improve people's lives. I'm passionate about using technology to make society a healthier, better place for human flourishing. I enjoy finding innovative solutions that help address social issues and potential user pain points. I am also passionate about leadership; striving to be the best servant leader I can be, and showing others how to take ownership of their role and gain the confidence of a leader themselves. I like teaching others - sharing the knowledge I have so I can pass the proverbial leg-up that others have given me. My personal philosophy is that a position or job role does not make a person a leader - character, integrity, treatment of others, and thoughtful, empowering communication is what can signify a leader. I've held a range of positions, which have all helped me cultivate the needed soft skills to be a valuable asset wherever I go. Some of these qualities include: being teachable, adaptable to new situations, able to greatly improve organizational processes, being committed to lifelong learning, utilizing effective communication and listening skills, working cooperatively with others, being a pioneer in any context, and showing empathy and compassion for people from all walks of life. Most importantly, I love sharing memes with friends and coworkers. Connecting with others over shared humor and interests brings me immense joy.
