As Vice President of New Member Education, I am responsible in my sorority to educate the new members about our sororities history, teach them the guidelines, provide and mentor them with resources for their academics. Encourage involvement within the Greek community, within our chapter and all around campus and overall, guide them in growing into a true successful and confident women. It is my responsibility to communicate with all the different executive board members and other positions within the chapter to help these, new young ladies, by providing them with all the necessary resources they could need. I am responsible for coordinating their first day into the sorority, by planning, setting up and executing our entire bid day event for all 250 of our members. I am also responsible for arranging weekly meetings with these new members, and coming up with a different lesson plan each week, in addition to cover important other topics, dates and reminders. During these meetings, I will focus not only on the history of the sorority, but mostly on topics that they can apply now to Alpha Chi Omega and even take beyond their years here in Alpha Chi Omega.I have to be organized and communicate with many different people at all times. Being the one in charge of our future is a big undertaking, and I need to always be looking ahead to making Alpha Chi Omega and these women futures as positive and successful as I can. Even beyond the sorority members, I have to be in touch with our National Headquarters and these new members parents, to give them updates and receive feed back as well. Overall, passion, organization, communication, time management, patience, quick decision making, and leading by example are all key traits that are needed for this executive position of Alpha Chi Omega.
