I collaborate with Miriam Boucher on her undergraduate research team on the project "Examining Microplastics in the Diet of American Alligators" at Clemson University. I help to collect, analyze, and interpret diet samples from American alligators to test for microplastics and other toxicants. Additionally, I participate in alligator catch and release operations to retrieve necessary samples and utilize laboratory techniques and field research skills to contribute to ongoing environmental studies.I am on Tigra Scientifica, the science journalism team at Clemson University under Lesly Temesvari. I read and analyze scientific journal articles to create accessible summary articles for publication in Clemson’s school newspaper. This allows me to contribute to public scientific literacy by translating complex research findings into clear and concise articles. I collaborate with fellow undergraduate writers to ensure high-quality and accurate scientific communication.
