The Monfils Lab performs research identifying the factors that underlie social transmission of information as well as individual differences that contribute to fear attenuation. Joined a group of 4 college students that intensely studied behavior in rats through hours of observation, logging detailed social queues, actions, and analysis in specialized software.Specific focus on the social dominance hierarchy and post-consolidation manipulations that can attenuate fear memories.
