I am a recent graduate of the Master's in Public Health program at DePaul University who has a special interest in violence prevention and youth safety. I've conducted robust research on the interconnectedness of systemic racism, gun violence, and its impact on young people. I hope to build knowledge around effectively implementing programming that addresses social determinants of health, especially promoting access to employment and education opportunities for youth.During my internship at BUILD, Inc. in westside Chicago, I got to combine my interests in violence prevention and data analysis. Supporting program evaluation initiatives, I played a large role in organizing and analyzing a volume of survey responses indicating youth's quality of life across 8 programs. Through this experience, I've developed skills in data storytelling and data dissemination , which I intend to utilize to inform future program directions and objectives.
