I am a qualified Maternity Night Nanny and International Certified Infant Massage Instructor. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in childcare having worked in a creche environment, followed by 10 years as a Professional Nanny, caring for children from newborn to 13 years old.I hold a QQI 6 in Early Childhood Education & Care Diploma, ONC Level 4 Maternity Nurse Practitioner Certificate, International Certified Infant Massage Instructor and Paediatric First Aid Certificate. I am also Garda Vetted as a private Nanny.I am extremely professional and competent with extensive knowledge of infants and children.Having trained as a Maternity Night Nanny, I can assist in establishing a routine for sleeping and feeding and can provide advice on all aspects of baby care including caring for babies with colic and reflux, supporting breastfeeding and the weaning process. I completed my certification on Infant Massage Instructor training which promotes bonding and attachment reassurance for newborns as well as a developmental baby massage routine for babies from newborn. As touch is the first sense to develop within the womb, these baby massage techniques can aid digestion and sleep, boost immunity and encourage growth, development and flexibility. It also helps parents to create and nurture the bonding process and helps reduce post natal depression.My strengths lie in my ability to plan ahead and be consistently well organised. I am a very calm, caring, kind and trustworthy.During my time as a nanny, my responsibilities have included carrying out all Nursey duties, doing school runs, assisting with homework, craft activities, social activities and cooking meals for the children in my care. I have also encouraged learning and development, good behaviour and manners and kept a detailed diary of each day's events. I have been responsible for the bath and bedtime routine for many of the children in my care and helped develop this night time routine alongside parents.
