As Department Manager, I was primarily responsible for enabling and empowering a team of Customer Service Associates (CSAs) to deliver the best possible customer service experience in the store. I was responsible for coaching, mentoring, training, and continually monitoring Customer Service Associates in my area. I was department manager of Paint, Home Decor, and Home Organization. Between the three departments, I was managing a 5 million dollar company within my store. This requires broad product knowledge and the ability to engage employees and customers across departments. I was a store trainer for the power equipment, such as the forklift(seated, propane), order picker and narrow aisle reach(standing forklift). I performed weekly cycle counts on items throughout the department for inventory control. I was responsible for driving sales and hitting our targets.
