Audrey Stano’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including trade secrets misappropriation, employment litigation, business and commercial torts, breach of contract, and internal investigations. Ms. Stano currently serves and has served on teams representing clients in high-stakes contract disputes, including Walgreens in consumer class action litigation relating to Theranos Labs blood testing technology. Ms. Stano has also represented clients in the insurance, manufacturing, software, and food and beverage industries in both federal and state courts.Ms. Stano also maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on breach of contract and prisoners’ rights actions, and frequently co-authors articles relating to developments in federal and California state practices.Ms. Stano graduated from Hamilton College magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Government and earned her J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she served as the Symposium Editor on the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, a team member on the Reform of Tanzanian Criminal Procedure Project under Professor Ronald J. Allen, a clinical student in the Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth at the Bluhm Legal Clinic, a judicial extern for the Honorable Young B. Kim of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and a research assistant to multiple professors. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Stano worked as a special education teacher in Chicago.
