The health field has always been my primary interest among all other trade choices. I know since I am little that I want to work with people and help them. When I was younger, my biggest dream was to become a pediatrician and the more the time advanced, the more I realized that I could be something else like a physiotherapist. I was the kind of person who always had good grades and had her homework done, so I did my research and found a perfect program for me: the respiratory therapy program at the Collège of Valleyfield. I got accepted and I was so happy about it.I honestly think that this job is made for me. I have good communication skills, a good sense of teamwork, good analytical skills and I work well under pressure. I am also capable to supervise and give advice/solutions to my team. For example, I am currently a supervisor at my part-time job(A&W) and I personally think that I do a great work. All these abilities combine make a great inhalothérapeute.My goal is to graduate school and go work in the North like James Bay. I know that this job is missing here in Québec but in my opinion, the most remote regions need it even more. They have less resources and that’s why I want to go so far away. My principal motivation is to help others and be able to save/change lives. I know that this program is difficult, but I also know I can do it and it will be worth it.
