I managed and budgeted college finances as a trustee, attended monthly board meetings, conducted fortnightly meetings with staff and residential advisors, directed weekly college assemblies, presided over bi-weekly executive meetings, and coordinated daily negotiations with the Dean and Master.Initiatives I established: - Created an app for one-on-one anonymous discussions between students and residential advisors. This was so that students could report sexual or physical misconduct and discuss mental health issues with staff at New College. Anonymity of one-on-one discussions between student and staff was to ultimately foster trust and build confidence in students to come forward and seek help, with more support to take further action if desired. - Organised an independent consent workshop with Elephant Education. The purpose of this was for students to be informed about sexual harassment and assault in tertiary institutional residential accommodation and facilitate discussions surrounding how to seek help in the context of a college environment. - Established an oldie/fresher buddy system to pair older and first-year students together at college to foster a greater sense of community.- Created both the Indigenous Representative role and Queer Representative role at college for students who identify within these demographics to have a leadership position and respective body to voice concerns, raise questions, and create initiatives for students to participate in.- Introduced the New College Exec Instagram account for students to be able to keep up with events and general college life. This was also to establish a platform for potential students to gain greater insight into New College from the perspective of students who live there. Furthermore, this increases sponsorship opportunities, such with Red Bull during O-Week.
