Rotational Engineer - Maintenance Department
Houston, Texas, United States
- As a rotational engineer, my first rotation was in the maintenance department where I gained hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Led three projects in the maintenance department at Evonik, including the replacement of two faulty heat exchangers, implementation of a valve PM program for the "High Purity" process unit, and replacement of 20.
- Successfully sized and installed new heat exchangers that improved the efficiency and safety of the process, resulting in cost savings for the company
- Developed and implemented a comprehensive valve PM program for the "High Purity" process unit, prioritizing the replacement of "hard-to-turn" valves for safety and ergonomic reasons, and valves that could impact.
- Replaced 20 obsolete PSVs during a major outage, ensuring that the new PSVs were delivered on time and installed correctly to minimize downtime and ensure a safe and efficient return-to-service
- Assisted in the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery, including pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers
