• Utilised immunofluorescence microscopy techniques to visualise pili localisation
• Employed quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) to analyse relative gene expression patterns in E. faecalis
• Consolidated samples for RNA sequencing to comprehensively understand gene regulation in an iron-enriched environment

• Project Title: Detection of 𝘈𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘰𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘹 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘪 in cucurbit seed lots using immunomagnetic separation combined with bacterial isolation on semi-selective media and ELISA
• Validated a novel technique (immunomagnetic separation [IMS]) as a possible replacement for the “seedling grow out assay” protocol
• Practised aseptic techniques in bacterial cell culture
• Assessed binding affinities by optimising indirect and sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) on cucurbit seed lots
