Leading a department of coordinators and managers who oversee services for adults and seniors, including programming, information service, readers' advisory, health and social services, and mobile services across a service area of 50 libraries, 36 municipalities, and 1.4 million people.

Creating and implementing engaging programs for all ages. Managing several large and popular collections. Coordinating the Teen Advisory Board and Facebook page. Serving as Librarian-in-Charge as needed. Representing MPL at outreach events and in print. Building community through creative use of technology.

* I managed library circulation and cataloging of new items,* provided in-person and electronic reference for faculty and graduate affiliates,* published a weekly e-newsletter,* created web content on search techniques for the CSDE website,http://csde.washington.edu/services/information/findinfo/index.shtml* developed instruction in search techniques, and* developed and delivered training in EndNote

* I administered the children's summer reading game,* assisted at the circulation and reference desk,* weeded a collection,* and redesigned a browsing collection. I volunteered intermittently during this year at the North and South branches.
