As a volunteer research assistant, my role is to help with experiments, data collection, data quantification, and daily lab tasks such as cleaning and restocking. I am volunteering in Dr. Nikki Cheng’s breast cancer research lab at KUMC.

I work as a PCT in the ICU at Menorah Medical Center. My roles include taking vitals, assisting patients with activities of daily living, helping nurses provide quality care to patients, and doing my part to ensure that the unit is running smoothly.

My role as an observer through Atlantis in Gorizia Hospital, Italy, is to shadow and learn from doctors in various departments for the month of June. This shadowing internship is associated with the University of Kansas and will allow me to observe medical practices in another country and widen my clinical experiences.

Volunteered in surgery recovery and the emergency department- Transport patients around the hospital - Provided professional and quality care for all patients- Participated actively in the healthcare team in order to ensure hospital operations are running smoothly
