I am really excited to be volunteering in the playroom at Safe and Sound! Safe and Sound is an organization which works to prevent child abuse. Parents can drop off their children (ages 0-12) during playroom hours while they seek services, like counselling or parenting groups, or just to take a break. Safe and Sound works to strengthen the foundation of families from all sides. In the playroom children engage in child-lead play-based therapy, where the staff work to strengthen their social and emotional skills.

Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Social-Health and Affective Neuroscience (SHAN) Lab, under Dr. Tristen Inagaki. The SHAN Lab works to understand how social connection affects the mind and the body, and how social connection influences mental and physical health.My work primarily has been running participants in MRI scans for a study seeking to understand how warmth and deep pressure affect social connection.
