New funds were leveraged to balance the 24% cutting in funding provided by the Department of Labor (DOL funding based on the federal budget).Established a hosted 501(c)3 to aid in the ability to diversify typical funding streams.Loaned to various community and state agencies to aid in acquiring new funding sources. Notably funded, a $2.25 million grant to be shared by three Colorado State Workforce Centers to establish enhanced programs to aid individuals with disabilities in becoming work-ready and attaining employment.

Initially hired full time to complete the start-up phase of the IASLC Foundation then transitioned to part-time consultant.Finalized all non-profit By-Laws for the Foundation wing of the Association, established a Charity Navigator and Guide Star presence, created Board Expectations, and planned and initiated the first year of communications and operations.Created the Fellowship Matching Challenge to entice first gifts from the Board Members and in turn increased individual giving by over 400% from the prior year.
