As an active member of the Water Peace and Security Partnership, I coordinate the involvement of Deltares in the Sahel region. My aim is to advance understanding of the link between water and the risk of conflict, with specific attention for the stakeholder engagement processes.

Advisor in the preparation and follow-up of the UN Water Conference (March 2023, New York), focused on the involvement of cities and outreach to African countries

The Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) is the gateway to the Dutch Water Sector. Companies, NGO’s, knowledge institutions and governmental organizations have joined forces in this public-private partnership to achieve more impact abroad. NWP shares knowledge, organizes matchmaking and increases the sector’s visibility (conferences, missions, etc.) to offer sustainable, multifunctional water solutions for people, planet and profit worldwide. At the NWP I worked on programs of the Dutch government aiming at facilitating and reinforcing the water cooperation between The Netherlands and other delta countries, coordinating initiatives in West Africa, with a specific focus on Benin, Mali, Ghana and Senegal and initiatives in Latin America, with a specific focus on Argentina and Panama. Furthermore, I was responsible for the program related to Water, Peace and Security.

The Alliance Francaise is the world's leading cultural network for French language and culture. Within the international context in The Hague, the organisation is working at reinforcing cultural diplomacy. Next to team coordination I have been developing (multi)cultural projects and reinforcing relationships with international partners.

In 2015 The Ocean Cleanup has conducted the Mega Expedition in the Great Pacific Garbage Batch between California and Hawaii. The Expedition has collected plastic measurements and considerably improved the knowledge of plastic pollution in our oceans. During the Mega Expedition I have been assisting the team from their Head Office in the preparation and execution phase, to make this Expedition a success.

The European Marine Board (EMB) is the leading European think tank in marine science policy. It provides a platform to advance marine research and to bridge the gap between science and policy. (Published) Research on the Economic Perspective on Oceans and Human Health (OHH); Organisation (preparation and execution) of the EurOCEAN conference 'Connecting Science, Policy and People'​, Rome 2014; - Support in the European FP7 project 'STAGES' for good environmental status in marine waters.
