I started working in the financial services industry 25 years ago and joined Integrated Financial Services Inc. team in 1998 as a financial advisor. With the determination to provide solid financial planning advice to clients I worked to obtain the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP) designation in 2002.Even with the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP)® designation completed, I found that working in a market with a significant number of client's over the age of 50 I needed more. This desire to continue growing personally and professionally led to Elder Planner Counselor (EPC) program in 2007. The program added a level of depth to the practice by providing a more holistic approach to client relationships and assisted in meeting a client's retirement dreams and expectations by expanding the focus beyond just numbers.Most recently I have been focused on completing the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and was thrilled to be finish with this in the fall of 2019 and earn my designation.2020's plan is to work through the Wharton School of Business course on client psychology (behavioral economics). My goal is to always be learning and growing, personally and professionally. My experience includes personal financial and investment planning, insurance consulting, and group retirement plans. I am committed to working with clients on an individual basis to find the best solutions for each circumstance. I have been a guest faculty member teaching components of the Elder Planning Counselor course in Edmonton. I have also been a guest columnist in the Real Women on the Run magazine, providing advice and information on financial issues.3 professional designations along with over 25 years in the industry allows me to provide the last crucial piece of the puzzle: someone you can work with who will actually know who you are and what your dreams and aspirations are. When not at the office, I am busy with two boys, a husband of over 20 years and a spoiled dog. I am often involved with the boys on the lacrosse field, with 18th Morrisroe Scouting Group in Red Deer, or wherever my kids volunteer me (I think it’s called 'volun-told').
