As Ag Affairs Manager, I am responsible for maintaining constructive relationships with dairy farmers as well as industry partners for Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. I manage each state American Dairy Association organization including development of budgets, coordination of local dairy programming, and delivery of program results to state directors. As part of a local checkoff organization, I stay knowledgeable of our programs with a goal to build demand for milk sales in the Southeast on behalf of dairy farmers.

As a safety intern in the Athens complex, I was able to asses team member safety conditions throughout the entire Athens complex consisting of the small bird debone plant, hatchery, feed mill, as well as broiler and breeder farms. I updated standard operating procedures such as machine lockout/tagout, alternate procedure forms, and unjaming tool procedures. I created and implemented updated new hire training documents on "Safety in the Workplace," assisted with complex-wide incident investigations, and conducted authorized lockout/tagout training for experienced team members.
