I am a student at Ivy Tech Community College pursuing a degree in Respiratory Threapy. At Ivy Tech, I am apart of the Student Leadership Academy and I am very involved with my campus from being a student ambassador to being apart of scholarship programs where I volunteer my time to come on campus and help out with events. I was an early graduate in High school where I was awarded a position of being Vice President of Social Activites in JAG (Jobs for American Graduates), which allowed me the oppurtuinty to learn helpful information such as filling out college applications, interviewing processes, and building resumes. During my two years in JAG, I was able to plan and host events in my community of Terre Haute where I held a trunk- or- treat for children, volunteered at a mental health facility for recovering addicts, and teamed up with local churches to make food baskets to feed homeless individuals. During my high school years, having the oppurtunity to be around strong leaders that belived in me gave me the confidence to strive towards developing good leadership skills. I am confident in saying that a couple core strenghts of mine start at my strong work ethic and good communication/interpersonal skills. I fully understand and commit to the importance of honesty and modesty.
