In my work as the payroll specialist of the National Police Commissioner, I am responsible for managing the salaries of all the agency's employees, as well as assisting with the recruitment process for new employees. I assist supervisors with the refinement and enforcement of the human resources work processes, as well as be within their reach, advising and assisting as necessary in relation to human resource issues. In my work, I take part in preparing work procedures for the reception of new employees, compensation issues, and the rights of the organization's employees, as well as providing information as needed to all employees of the organization. I am responsible for maintaining the equal pay system and equal pay certification of the organization as well as managing and handling sensitive information and documents.

As an expert in the payroll department at The Financial Management Authority (Fjársýsla ríkisins) my main tasks were overseeing the processing of salaries and their processing for a number of state institutions, as well as the registration of data in various state systems. I also provided information related to workers' compensation and rights issues, as well as guiding and assisting wage representatives at state institutions.
