I ensured the health of the plants in the seven greenhouses, five outdoor structures, and outdoor container areas by completing tasks such as watering, fertilizing, repotting, and pruning. In addition to these tasks, I assisted with propagation and pest management initiatives. Throughout the duration of my internship, I completed a project in which I proposed an organizational management plan for the bi-annual plant sale to make planning and preparing the plants for the sale easier.

The pollinator project involved sampling vegetation and pollinators on the side of highways all over New York state. Some sites were nearby; however, others involved driving for multiple hours with a partner to sample at the further sites.

During my time at this company, I filled various roles: spotlight, prop manager, backstage right, Assistant stage manager, and sound tech. Throughout these roles, I worked with a diverse group of people as well as children ranging from elementary to high school. All of these roles required independence and problem-solving on the spot, as there was no one to turn to if something went wrong during a show. Additionally, all of the positions required strict safety procedures to be followed due to the dangerous nature of the equipment and large moving parts on stage, which I was responsible for.
