I am a fourth year Economics with a specialization in Business Economics and Psychology double major at the University of Chicago. I am interested in the intersection of my studies of how and why people make the decisions they do in a business context and the technical and professional skills I have gained through my business classes, extracurriculars, and finance internship. Through working as a Research Assistant at the Booth School of Business, I have gained analytical and leadership skills, helping to implement a new role and increase study participation rates. As a Student Visit Coordinator at the UChicago office of Undergraduate Admissions, I have learned to market the university to hundreds of perspective students and families, as well as honing my public speaking, management, and quick, creative thinking skills. This summer, working as a finance intern at Amsted Rail, a leading global rail manufacturing company, I have gained hands on experience applying the concepts I have learned in financial and accounting courses. I have worked to complete SOX compliance testing for the shared services division, as well as traveled to plants across the US to help with SOX testing of other division. I have gained experience using SAP to park journal entries and utilize SAP to complete other tasks. Overall, I am a hardworking, creative thinker, invigorated by new challenges and mastering new skills. I am a quick learner and push myself to go above and beyond, no matter the task at hand.
