🌲 Social Work Student | Cancer Survivor | Outdoor Addicted | Advocate for Economic Equity 🌄Hey there! I’m a full time social work student at the University of Alabama, passionate to make a difference in the world. I also work as an Executive Assistant for a Colorado non-profit focused on bringing economic equity to the world of outdoor recreation. I’m passionate about making the great outdoors accessible to ALL, and I’m stoked to be part of a mission that aligns with my love for adventure.I live in the breathtaking state of Alaska, where I find joy in every moment spent outdoors. (How could you not? The serotonin is epic!) Whether I’m hiking, climbing, kayaking, swimming, or snowboarding, being in nature fuels my spirit. I believe that the outdoors can be a refuge, a place for growth, and a source of inspiration. As a mom of three, I am grateful to share these adventures with my kids, helping them discover the magic of the natural world around them. Kicking cancer's butt (twice!) has shaped my perspective on resilience and the importance of community. I found a tremendous amount of therapy within my photography and painting and I hope to be able to develop the skills needed to guide others in finding their own zen through nature and art. In the depths of my growth era, I am eager to connect with fellow lovers of the outdoors and passionate students/ social workers who share my vision for a more inclusive and equitable world. 🏞️
