Augusta completed her PhD (2020-2024) in the College of Public Health at James Cook University and was a recipient of the competitive Australian PhD Award and a College of Public Health grant. She obtained Integrated Management System (IMS) Internal Auditing: ISO 9001,14001, 45001 in 2024 with BV, Australia. She earned a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in 2021 and an Australian Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety in 2020. Augusta holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Health, Safety, and Environment from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), which she obtained in 2014. She also holds the International General Certificate in Health and Safety from the National Examination Board of Safety and Health, UK (NEBOSH), which she obtained in 2011. Augusta is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) and an Associate Member of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON), both organisations she joined in 2011. She has been an individual member of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) since 2018 and a World Safety Organisation student member. She holds General and Advanced Certificates in Health and Safety from ISPON, which she obtained in 2010. Augusta has worked as a health and safety officer, coordinator, manager, and consultant for over a decade. She co-founded a company that engages in safety training and consulting. Augusta is involved in various professional activities, such as serving as an Examiner, working as a self-employed Health, Safety, and Environment Tutor with Superprof, volunteering as a Tutor with TAFE, QLd, and working as a Research Assistant with the College of Public Health, JCU, Australia. Additionally, she participated in the 2021 Mentorloop program with the Australian Institute of Health and Safety as a Mentee. Augusta's interests revolve around health, safety, and well-being, and she is characterized as a consistent learner, go-getter, and someone passionate about maintaining competency in her field.
