I help manage projects for clients that deal with state and federal heritage laws (e.g., NHPA, ARPA, TAC). I help compose project scopes of work, budgets and advise clients. I provide archeological desktop assessments, obtain Texas antiquities code permits and coordinate with all relevant agencies. My projects involve direct management and coordination of one to a dozen staff archeologists in both the field and lab. These projects vary in scope from survey, data recovery and monitoring to lab based research. I conduct artifact analyses, primarily of chipped lithic and fauna remains. As the company geoarcheologist I am responsible for all deep geo-trenching/survey work were river crossings occur. I also perform specialized geoarcheological analyses (sediment texture, MS, TOC) for data recovery projects and coordinate sampling and analysis with external specialists (e.g. AMS, Paleobotany) when needed. I write, illustrate, and edit archeological reports. I construct GIS databases for project area assessment, field mobilization and report cartography. I help maintain the company's social media presence and ensure client satisfaction and new client development.
