I’m August, I’m a LGBTQ+ Biology major looking for a fulltime position in conservation and stream ecology.I’ve grown up definitely as an odd one who would always find themself down by a creek or poking a stick in the mud off the trail. It took a little time for me to realize, but a career in ecological and environmental sciences was definitely my niche. I have class and hands-on experience in biomass and soil sampling, aquatic plant and invertebrate identification, and wetland restoration. I have a special interest in local and native species and am passionate about how native species and wetlands contribute to climate action. I look forward to being able to work in restoration and conservation to make a visible impact on the industry and the local environment.
