As a Level 2 Software Engineer, I specialize in developing, deploying, and maintaining custom web applications that meet the diverse needs of university stakeholders. My role involves actively collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, define functional specifications, and manage project timelines from development to production.One of my key achievements includes successfully migrating 19 legacy applications from ColdFusion to Java Servlets using Apache Tomcat, significantly enhancing performance and scalability. I have also designed and implemented a full-stack REST API for the new Duquesne Portal system, serving as a critical integration layer between the Banner ERP system and various data sources. In addition, I develop custom micro-applications and tiles using a React-based Application Development Kit (AEK), aimed at improving the user experience for students and faculty.Beyond software development, I manage and optimize RHEL and Apache Tomcat server environments, ensuring seamless application deployments.
