Augustine Kezzy Okello is a seasoned humanitarian worker who has served in the program management role in Uganda with INGOs since 2005 before co-founding PLAVIO Uganda in 2018. He has been part of various development initiatives including founding Keframa High School in Lira and being part of the Governing Council of Uganda Christian Institute Lira.His humanitarian work pedigree has enabled him to be nominated and accepted into the Global Goodwill Ambassadorship – Humanitarian, Uganda (Global Goodwill Ambassador- Humanitarian - Uganda). Through Global Center on Cooperative Security, IGAD Center of Excellence on the prevention and countering violent extremism, USAID SOTA, International Alert and Strong Cities network, he has had trainings in the areas of prevention and countering violent extremism and how to forge national – local cooperation in addressing: Hate, Polarization, violence including violent extremism. This allows him to be one of the trusted members of any global Peace advocacy & Negotiation.He is a very detailed oriented person, with 100% commitment to duty, reliable, creative and very open minded. Augustine holds a Masters degree in Public Administration and Management.
