About Augusto Adolfo Salgado Neto

Mechanical engineer with experience on wind blade manufacturing, project management and lean manufacturing.At the start of my career I managed to get into both intern and trainee programs of Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (largest steel making plant on the northeast region of Brazil). On these program I was able to develop skills related to project management, heavy equipment maintenance, technical drawing, FEA simulation and technical assessment of suppliers regarding the supply of equipment and maintenance services.After that I was hired on Aeris Energy (currently the largest wind blade supplier of Brazil) and there I was able to work on the commissioning and ramping up of production for blade models from Vestas (V150) and Siemens Gamesa (SG170). During my time here I was able to lead teams on the shop floor on Kaizen Events to improve costs and productivity and also lead the production team on the shopfloor of the finishing area. The main skills that I developed on this stage of my career were communication on different levels of the organization, wind blade manufacturing, lean manufacturing and analysis of non conformities on products.
