Member and co-founder of the PHP User group, for the state of São Paulo, Brazil. We aim to spread and professionalize PHP in the Brazilian community by promoting events, organising recurrent meetups, selecting talks for events and easing the access to information.We developed non-profit partnerships with Microsoft, GitHub, Locaweb, Caelum, among others. We helped the creation of more than a dozen, similar, groups throughout Brazil by providing access to sponsorship kickstarting their first initiatives. Together with another User Groups around the world we helped to bring more people into PHP development, as users and core developers of the language, as well as spreading a "standard" of quality to be aimed by professionals of the language.

Reduced 60% of infra-structure costs in 3 months, unified backlog, introduced Kanban (maturity level 2) and implemented a metrics-driven culture of decision making also adopted by commercial and customer relations teams.

Bridging strategic and tactical communication my responsibilities were prioritization, solutions architecture, team management and continuous improvement.I've improved stability introducing a CI/CD pipeline, code-review and AWS migration from on-premises with infrastructure-as-code. Nurtured a high performance culture of ownership with metrics and business documentation.To improve Customer Acquisition dozens of User Story Mappings were used to model Bounded Contexts (DDD) and guide the introduction of SOA. Anti-Curruption Layers, introduced through Refactoring, allowed 4 new operational workflows (only 1 was supported by previous architecture) and multi-tenancy.

Along with managing backend teams I've played a key role on creating a global data team introducing a Big Data streaming pipeline replacing previous CDC architecture. Enabling real-time analytics to operations and features such as Dynamic Pricing, Guaranteed Price (pay what you see) and One-Tap (ride suggestion to passengers via push notifications).I introduced the concept of Code Reviews and Continuous Delivery to an extent where we had a highly available system (300k req/m with 99.99% uptime) without requiring an on-call process where every developer, on a team of 80, deployed code to production multiple times a day.

A pioneer on mobility solutions in Latam (and 30+ countries), Easy was a Uber-like app connecting passengers and drivers (Taxi, Cabs, P2P).Helped develop and architect our "digital wallet" solution to charge and pay 4k drivers daily. Payment availability went from 48h to 10min with an automated and customized report available on our countries of operation, dramatically increasing NPS.Delivered "offline payments" which enabled drivers ending rides without internet given previous passenger screening and score upon requesting rides, increasing passenger NPS and revenue through increased adoption of our payment method.

Maintenance of a platform to connect recruiters to blue-collar workers. Workers would interact with the platform via SMS (registration, interview scheduling) and Companies through a web interface using Drupal. I was a key advocate and developer on automating infra-estructure to ease big-data solution integrations and increase performance of ou machine learning models.

Architected a Payment Gateway solution allowing multiple providers to be used simultaneously, increasing the amount of payments processed every minute. Different strategies could be used, like a load balancer: error rate, round robin, cost and schedules.

As a small digital agency, my activities were as varied as our customers: managing projects, hiring developers, designing products for internal and external marketing teams and consulting.

Developed new and existing solutions for pre-press market: Digital Asset Management and offline Retail ads automation. Available on premises at customers data centers and on cloud.I was responsible for designing and developing the retail solution on record time. With the objective of streamlining the publishing of ad pieces to be used on retail stores (with prices and product information) I've built an MVP and iterated on a solution with customers respecting their workflow and improving cusomter-agency relationship. Among the challenges was reverse-engineering Excel XML file so it could be read and manipulated in PHP.Worked on many other projects ranging from benchmarking technologies, custom API development for data retrieval and automation, administration interfaces, scaling software and hardware systems, architecture of new and existing projects, project/product management and hiring.
