I am heavily involved with everything mobile at Route. I have managed several teams and delivered high value in different segments of our business.Main contributions:• Customer Impact - Allocate resources, assess technical impact/risk and define a viable path to accomplish aggressive goals. Oversaw the execution phase of the Route for Merchant efforts across multiple teams.• Long-term Vision - Ensure the right investments are made focusing on the longevity of our apps. This can be translated into key investments aiming at constantly modernizing our mobile stacks.• Quality - Organized Route’s mobile CI/CD and quality strategy. Proposed and documented Route’s release process, regression testing strategy and hotfix conditions. Refined and implemented several new features which allowed chat mobile apps to have a tighter integration with the core mass communication suite. The most important ones were user managed notifications, video/audio chat and attachments.Detected and fixed performance bottlenecks in all critical scenarios via code analysis, performance tools and also by implementing a rich scenario-tracking infrastructure.Addressed memory issues in the Android app mostly due to garbage collection limitations in Mono /JVM interactions. - In-depth analysis of the Outlook Web Application ( JavaScript/C# performance)

Exposed several key filesystem metrics through an infrastructure consisting of a kernel component, a WCF service, a real-time visualizer and automated reports backed by Reporting Services (SSRS). Designed performance automation capable of deploying and aggregating data from hundreds of virtual machines; Detected several bottlenecks in the storage stack in Private Cloud deployments. Led several team members during this effort.Enhanced the customer-focus of a new file system feature (Alternate Data Streams for REFS) through one-on-one engagements and testing (automation and debugging).Revitalized corruption testing by providing an innovative disk cache simulator; Increased test capacity tenfold and will also save hundreds of dollars by sparing hardware components. Actively mentored an intern during the prototyping phase.

Implemented an FM Radio kernel driver to overcome a hardware defect present in more than 3000 test devices that prevented any radio functionality from working; Worked closely with external owners of the radio stack (Samsung and Qualcomm), to ensure a positive outcome.

Enhanced and expanded existing regression filter manager tests; Implemented new user mode and kernel mode test components (minifilters). Strongly advocated and actively implemented an opportunistic lock manager as a minifilter. This project surfaced several critical bugs in the system and was strongly considered to be shipped as a Windows Driver Kit sample due to its value for the filesystem community.

Added several new features to a media player to be released in upcoming Motorola devices; Dealt with several challenges present in the core architecture related to the implementation of an artificial Object Orientation paradigm in the C language.

Explored a technology known as Software/Cognitive Radio as well as its applications in real case scenarios.Worked with the GNU implementation of Software Radio (GNUradio).

Developed a mobile application to collect data from custom embedded system via Bluetooth; Ensured project success by recommending an alternative Bluetooth library and Bluetooth hardware component after extensive investigation. Proactively fixed critical bugs. Designed the architecture, provided specification, and functional test documents for several projects.

Designed a user friendly test suite that allowed customer to know beforehand whether their systems would properly run Itautec's custom Linux distribution.
