I am currently studying Finance and Mathematics (with a minor in Data Science) at Northeastern University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in the spring of 2026. I chose Northeastern for its extensive co-op program, and am on track to complete 3 co-ops that will have allowed me to gain invaluable experience in the workplace. I aspire to become an Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and have passed both Exams P and FM to start my path to the FSA. I also believe my experience working for John Hancock as an Actuarial co-op has given me great insights into the world of actuarial science and has fueled my desire to excel in the field.I am taking a Corporate Finance class as well as an Investments class, and have completed Financial Accounting and Reporting, Financial Management, and Managerial Accounting, so I have excellent experience learning business and working with Excel and PivotTables. My Data Science minor has also given me helpful exposure into Python, SQL, Tableau, and Jupyter Notebooks as well as how to use these platforms to clean, analyze, and present data. I have also gained crucial experience with machine learning algorithms and have created machine learning tools by hand and using the Scikit Learn library. I feel that these experiences have greatly refined my problem-solving skills and will allow me to thrive while performing difficult and meaningful tasks in the workplace.
