Some of my favorite projects include researching the effects of lead, PFAS, and microbial contaminants on human health then working towards regulations for these substances.

Analyzed datasets for the Environmental and Safety Offices as a contractor at the Carderock Naval Surface Warfare Center in Bethesda, MD. Utilized Excel and PowerPoint to analyze and display data to discover trends and take action.

• Evaluated 26 licenses and reports to ensure safety and compliance of hydropower projects in areas such as flow rates, fish passage, recreation, habitat management, and endangered species protection• Utilized SAS for statistical analysis to determine compliance with federal and state environmental regulations• Communicated with licensees via letters informing of noncompliance and suggested remediation techniques• Conducted data collection and data mining to produce a new database that cohesively tracks hydropower dam inspections, including cost estimates, inspection results, and proposals

• Sampled and collected field data across the state, using ultrasonic microphones, to record and analyze bat calls in order to study bat populations after the spread of White Nose Syndrome• Trained and oversaw new interns on proper sampling and collection procedures

• Completed research and developed 10 technical reports to support the tasks of the Office of Nuclear Energy• Collaborated with DOE-NE senior advisors to sustain and expand the United States’ nuclear reactor fleet• Developed two reports to Congress, informing leaders about emerging nuclear technologies• Participated in meetings and developed projects to meet the energy goals of the United States government
