The primary role of the IT operations administrator person is to provide support to internal and external employees by resolving their technical issues via email, phone, other electronic medium or visit. This work will encompass both a call center environment and interaction with personnel face to face. Duties & Responsibilities:• Installation and configuration of hardware and software in the restaurants (e.g. POS system, back office computers, printers, etc)• Fix technical problems and diagnose hardware and software problems in the computers and related equipment as they arise.• Configure and install operating systems and make appropriate changes in the network as needed.• Install new software as needed and set up new user accounts for employees.• Requisitioning of new hardware as directed.• Responsible for setting up all new hardware, including servers and network routers that may arrive at the company`s office• May travel up to 30% depending on new store openings and special needs in the field• Can involve 80% of their work on hardware issues• After-hours follow-up / actions also a requirement as needed.• Analyzing computer hardware problems, rectifying them, servicing and replacing parts when necessary. • Acting as the middle man between user and manufacturer/vendor when equipment has to be sent to the latter for repair. • Installing software, demonstrating its usage and troubleshooting when users are faced with problems. • Updating system software when required. • Setting up and solving problems with computer network systems, cabling and wireless networks. • Configuring email accounts through POP3, Outlook and IMAP. • Anti-virus software installation, reporting new virus files and malware removal.• Maintaining back up files • Servicing and maintaining computer related equipment such as printers, projectors, web cameras and scanners (add POS, back office computers, printers, etc.)
