Profile bio

About Aundrea Townsend-Lam, M. Ed.

I was born and raised in the DMV, and I am your typical Maryland crab-lover. I love learning new things and spreading knowledge.I can remember being a child and playing school with my siblings. Now I can proudly say that I've taught hundreds of children! I spent majority of my career teaching in Southeast, D.C. and developed relationships with students, families, and colleagues to ensure the academic success of ALL students, including students of color and students with differing abilities. Now I have the opportunity to impact the lives of thousands of children. As an educational leader, I have learned the following things about myself: 1.) I love large impact, but I picked up a side gig tutoring because I also love being on the ground doing the work; 2.) I like to ask questions when something is unclear because it's better to know than to guess; 3.) I am not (and you are not) all knowing, so if we really want to ensure our children are all that they can be then we have to work together.Reach out if you want to talk education, natural hair, food, or good reads! Those are just a few of my favorite things. 😊
