About Aura Young, Ph.D.
I support the 6,000+ graduate students and ~50 postdocs at UNC Charlotte by coordinating professional development programming, wellness, STEM communication, and community-building initiatives. I'm also a co-lead on the University's new Penn Resilience Program. In my current position my long term goals include creating a much-needed postdoc office and improving DEI initiatives in order to help better support our underrepresented, minoritized, and first generation graduate students. I love my job because every day holds something new, and I'm constantly learning.
