👟 Ever wondered how a pair of sneakers could change someone’s life? That’s what I’m currently working on at Magnes, an ETH-spinoff. We’re developing shoes that help people with Parkinson’s walk smoothly using real-time vibrational feedback. For this, I’m leveraging gait simulation and machine learning to enhance sensor data and movement analysis. It’s incredible to see how technology can transform health!👋 Hi, I’m Aurel, 24, a Master’s student at ETH in Medical Technology and a HealthTech developer with a deep passion for biomechanics and AI to improve human movement. My mission is to show how technology can enhance athletic performance, prevent injuries, and enable individuals with movement disorders to achieve a better quality of life. When I’m not working on innovative footwear, I’m brainstorming ideas for my own future startup focused on injury prevention and movement optimization.🎓 I recently completed a project at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where I adapted and automated an optimization algorithm for the prediction of dynamic knee joint pressure in simulations under 30 minutes, analyzing gait patterns from over 70 osteoarthritis patients to provide actionable insights for clinical treatment.🌅 Fun Fact: In spring 2023, I kicked off my own weekly outdoor training bootcamp in Pfäffikon ZH to chase my dream of being a group trainer. I love coaching non-fitness enthusiasts to reach their health goals. What's the magic ingredient? The awesome morning vibes by Lake Pfäffikon in combination with our fun workouts and community activities!🤸 In my free time, I enjoy getting some fresh air and going for a calisthenics workout in nature.💬 Tell me about you!
