It is now my turn to give forward and hopefully help a few discover their self-worth and build enough confidence to follow what one truly enjoys doing.In 2022; taking advantage of the unique facility setup established at Animal Care & Resource Center [ACRC] & Mouse Genome Engineering Facility [MGEF] @ NCBS/inStem Bangalore, I redirected my activities to focus on establishing and coordinating a dedicated high-end skill development platform providing training and workshop programs for Indian and International scientists. I also provide project management & strategy consulting services in Mouse Genome Engineering & Laboratory Animal Care & Quality production for facilities across India.I recently joined the Janvier Labs Team to develop, expand and share their activities and services in India and other countries with the Janvier Labs internationally valued quality & ethical standards of Laboratory Animal Sciences.My background:I received my M.Sc. and PhD degrees from the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France. At the Pasteur Institute my research focused on mouse myogenesis and muscle stem cell biology in the laboratory of Professor Shahragim Tajbakhsh. From this experience, I became an expert in mouse transgenesis & genome engineering and acquired all the technical skills necessary to establish transgenic animals for biomedical research applications. I then took a break to travel and joined the laboratory of Professor Richard Mann at Columbia University, where in addition to working with zinc finger nuclease technology to understand transcriptional regulatory networks in Drosophila development, I also served as the laboratory manager. I joined the vibrant Bangalore Life Science Cluster [ BLiSC ] in November 2014 to establish & manage the Mouse Genome Engineering Facility as part of the DBT funded National Mouse Resource (NaMoR) initiative under which I also served as co-head of the Animal Care and Resource Center.I have now joined Janvier Labs as Head of International Operations.I am a member of the International Society for Transgenic Technologies (ISTT), of the Indian Laboratory Animal Scientists Association (LASA) and of the Indian Society of Developmental Biologists (InSDB).
